Introduction to our school
Since it's foundation, Colegio Martinak has been consistent with the differences between men and women. It is well known that in general terms men posess an objective prepondering thought and that women have a greater tendency to subjectivity, this is a factor of why it is easier for men to practice exact sciences and easier for women to practice humanities; however, in human history we can find great men philosophers and scientific women of excellence. Apart from the intellectual aspect, the physical-sexual maturity is reached faster by women.
For the forementioned points, it is easy to deduct that the motivation towards learning in marked development stages is different in men and women, this is evident in the family and in other extracurricular activities, which is why the school should not limit the specialized work for the requirements of young people of one or the other sex.
Colegio Martinak looks to motivate all it's students so that they are agents of their own education. The applied methods are active, individual and social, psychological and logical, always based on the truth and scientific systematization.
All of our students, as well as the teachers, come together as one large family, the older students and the teachers protect the younger students in their physical and moral integrity.
The students take part in extracurricular activities, field investigations, library trips, etc. not just within the school, but with their family and in industries, so as to involve their parents, other students and productive society in the search for knowledge and learning.
The civic-social spirit and solidarity forms in the students by means of an Integral Values Project, which permits the interaction with various homes, orfans and help campains for the needy.
A school uniform is the best way to bond the students as a social group and not to let any economic differences get in the way of progress, for this reason, in our school, it is necessary for students to wear their uniform every day without fail.
We support physical education with Olympic gymnasium equipment, expression and coordination with Karate classes, and we have twice been a finalist in the National Inter-school Cheerleading and dance competition, we also support artistic activities with visits to museums and concerts, and sports (basketball and volleyball). However we do not let the attention to these activities affect our high academic standards.
